If you manage several companies with different VAT or company numbers, each company must have its own Banqup space.

This ensures that financial data, users, and legal information remain completely separate.

What is a legal entity?

A legal entity is a registered business with its own VAT or company number.

Each legal entity in Banqup operates independently with its own:

  • Documents and invoices

  • Payment accounts

  • Apps and integrations

  • Users and roles

  • Settings

When to create a new company

  • Manage more than one registered business.

  • Need to keep invoices, users, and taxes fully separate.

Example

You own "GreenTech BV" and "SolarPro SRL".

Each has its own VAT number, accountant, and financial records.

In Banqup, you must onboard each company separately.

How to create a new company

To create a new company:

Each company will appear separately in your space switcher menu.

Note

You can’t add a new company using the Create space button as that option is only for branches of the same legal entity.

Managing multiple companies

After onboarding multiple companies, you can switch between them anytime:

  1. Click the main menu in the top-right corner.

  2. Click Switch space.

  3. Choose the company you want to access.

Important notes

  • You can quickly see which space you're in at the top-right of your screen.

  • A user's roles and permissions may vary between different spaces.

  • Each company has its own legal identity, invoices, and users.

  • There’s no limit to how many companies you can manage.

FAQ

Can I move invoices between companies?

No. Each company’s documents are kept separate for compliance reasons.

Can I connect my accountant to multiple companies?

Yes. Accountants can add each of your companies as a client through their Partner Space. It’s also possible to connect to a different accountant for each company.
