When working with suppliers and customers in Banqup, you'll need to store their bank account details for payment processing. With this information on file, you can quickly make payments, maintain different accounts for various purposes, and set defaults for each partner to ensure efficient transactions.
Adding a bank account
You can add a bank account when adding a new business partner. The steps below focus on adding a bank account to an existing business partner.
To add bank account information for an existing business partner:
Go to Business Partners.
Double-click on the partner whose bank details you want to add.
Navigate to the Bank Accounts tab.
Click Add bank account.
Enter the bank account information. The form adapts to the Country you select, so you only fill in the fields that apply:
For Eurozone countries, you'll be asked for the IBAN and Banqup auto-fills the bank and BIC.
For countries with multiple banking formats (such as the U.K.), pick the Payment account scheme (for example, IBAN or ANB) before entering the Account number.
For other regions, the form shows the local fields, such as Routing Number for the U.S. or Sort Code for the U.K.
Click Add to save.
Adding international supplier accounts
When you work with suppliers outside the Eurozone, the bank account form automatically updates to capture the right details for that country, so transfers go through without validation errors. You can also create the account directly during an outbound payment: any new bank account entered while paying a supplier is saved to that partner's profile in the correct format.

You can add multiple bank accounts for a partner if needed.
Bank account details can be edited.
The fields shown depend on the Country selected. Use the Payment account scheme dropdown to switch between formats when more than one is supported (for example, IBAN or ANB in the U.K.).
