Insights gives accounting partners a centralized view of document activity for all their clients. This app is available exclusively in the Partner Space.
Why use Insights?
Insights helps you:
Monitor document processing status across all clients from one place
Identify which clients need your attention without opening each space
Prioritise work based on urgency and document volume
Jump directly to the documents that require action
Track document processing progress during busy periods like VAT declarations, monthly closing, or year-end
Accessing the Insights app
Go to your Partner Space.
Open the Insights app from the app launcher.
The app displays an overview of document activity aggregated across all your active clients.
What Insights shows
Client overview
Select a client using the dropdown menu in the top right.
The main view shows a list of your selected client's document activity summaries:
Total documents : The total number of documents in the selected period
Processed : Documents that have been fully processed (no action required)
Accountant action needed : Documents waiting for you to process
Client action needed : Documents waiting for the client to take action (like validation, approval, sending)
Filtering by date range
Use the date range filter to focus on a specific period. This is useful when:
Reviewing documents for a particular month or quarter
Preparing for VAT submissions
Checking recent activity during busy periods
Breakdown by document type
When you select a client, you can see their documents grouped by category:
Sales invoices
Purchase invoices
Purchase receipts
Enriched movement reports
Other documents (total count only)
For each category, the breakdown shows how many documents are in each status.
Taking action on documents
When you identify documents that need attention:
Click Go to documents next to the relevant document category.
The Client Documents app opens directly in the correct document type for that client.
From Client Documents, you can see the documents you need to process in the Accountant action needed tab, and then mark them as processed when you're done.
You can also see the documents your client still needs to take care of and which might be ready for you to process soon.
If not done yet, it's highly recommended to look at our integrations to export your client's documents from Banqup to your cloud or accounting software.
This workflow eliminates the need to manually navigate through each client's space to find pending work.

Who can access Insights?
Insights is available to users in the Partner Space with appropriate permissions to view client information. Team members need to be assigned to a client in order to see their data.
Does the Insights app show real-time data?
The data reflects the current status of documents in your clients' spaces. Updates appear as documents are processed.
What counts as "client action needed"?
This includes documents where the client needs to provide additional information, approve something, or complete a required action.
What counts as "accountant action needed"?
This indicates that the client completed their actions and the documents can be processed by the accountant.
