When a client relationship ends or changes, you can archive them in your Partner space. Archiving removes the connection between your firm and the client's space while preserving historical data.
How to archive a client
Go to Clients.
Find your client.
Click the three dots in the Actions column.
Select Archive.
Confirm your choice.
What happens after archiving
When you archive a client, your accounting firm's connection to their business space is removed. This means you'll no longer have access to their documents or be able to manage their settings. The client remains in your archived list for reference, but all integrations between your systems are disconnected.
For the client:
Their business space remains active.
All their documents and data stay intact.
They can connect with another accounting firm.
They retain access to their historical data.
The archiving process only affects the relationship between your firm and the client - it doesn't impact their ability to use Banqup or their document history. If you need to reconnect with an archived client in the future, you'll need to send them a new invitation.
Notes
This action can't be undone.
