When your accountant invites you to connect on Banqup, you'll receive an email with a link. Following the steps below links your Business Space to their Partner Space, which gives them access to your approved documents.
What you need to do depends on whether you already have a Banqup account or not.
If you don't have a Banqup account yet
Open the invitation email and click Get started.
On the webpage, scan the QR code using the Banqup One app on your smartphone.
You'll be taken through the Banqup registration process to set up your Business Space. → For the full registration walkthrough, see Registering on Banqup.
Once completed, click Continue to grant your accountant access to your Banqup Business Space data. Your account will be automatically linked to your accountant's firm.
If you already have a Banqup account
Before you start, make sure you have the Banqup One app installed on your smartphone. You'll need it to scan the QR code in step 2. Download the Banqup One app
Open the invitation email and click Get started.
On the webpage, scan the QR code using the Banqup One app on your smartphone.
On the next page, click Continue to grant your accountant access to your Banqup Business Space data.
That's it. Your Business Space is now linked to your accountant's firm.
Important
You must scan the QR code with the Banqup One app specifically. Scanning with your phone's camera or another app will not work.
You must accept your accountant’s invitation as explained above, otherwise you will be registered on Banqup but won’t be connected to your accountant.
FAQ
I can't find the invitation email. What should I do?
Check your spam or junk folder. If it's not there, ask your accountant to resend the invitation. Your accountant can read how to do it here.
Do I need an existing Banqup account to accept the invitation?
No. If you don't have a Banqup account yet, clicking the link in the email will take you through the registration process before connecting you to your accountant's firm.
What does granting access to my accountant mean for my data?
Your accountant will be able to receive your approved documents in your Business Space, such as invoices. They won't be able to access your business space.
Can I undo the connection with my accountant later?
Yes. Your accountant can archive you as a client from their Partner Space at any time, which removes the link between your spaces.
I’ve already registered but my accountant says I'm showing as invited, why ?
If you registered without using your accountant’s invitation link, your account may be created but not linked to your accountant. That's why they see you as invited.
To fix this, ask your accountant to resend the invitation. You will have to complete all three steps in the Accepting the invitation section above, including clicking Continue at the end.
Scanning the QR code doesn't work. Why?
