Freezing (or unfreezing) a card

  1. Select your Banqup Business Account.

  2. Navigate to the Cards tab.

  3. Click on the card you want to manage.

  4. Select Card settings.

  5. Toggle Freeze card on or off.

When to freeze your card

Freezing your card provides a quick security measure in various situations. Consider freezing your card if you notice suspicious activity, temporarily misplace it, or want to prevent usage during an extended period of non-use.

What happens when you freeze a card

When you freeze a card, it becomes immediately inactive for all new transactions. This includes both physical and online purchases, as well as recurring payments. The card remains linked to your account, and you can unfreeze it at any time to restore full functionality.

Important notes

  • Freezing a card is an immediate and reversible action that provides a safe way to temporarily disable your card. Unlike deactivation, which is permanent, freezing allows you to quickly restore card functionality when needed. Any existing or pending transactions that occurred before freezing will proceed normally.

  • A frozen card still counts towards your subscription. To stop getting charged for an unused card, deactivate it.
