What's new for businesses - October 2026

Written by Maxime

This month Banqup gets a sidebar to move between apps, one place for all your settings, and a Finalize step that shows how and to whom a document goes before it leaves. You can also add discounts and charges to invoices, see every document of a business partner in one tab, accept proposed payment matches straight from your invoice lists, and send purchase invoices to Pivot with a new app in the Banqup Store. Here's what's new.

New features

Finalize your documents and choose how they are delivered

Finalize replaces the old Send and Validate steps for sales invoices, credit notes, quotes and self-billing documents. Before anything leaves Banqup, you see how and to whom the document will go:

  • Send via Peppol: pick one of the customer's saved Peppol IDs or enter a new one. Banqup checks straight away that the recipient is registered on Peppol and can receive this type of document.

  • Send via email: choose existing contacts or type new recipients and CC addresses.

  • Finalize only: the document gets its permanent number, payment reference and digital signature, but nothing is sent. Use it for documents you deliver yourself, or that need no delivery.

If a delivery fails, a banner on the document explains why, and you can fix the problem and send it again from the same place.

Move between apps from the sidebar

A sidebar on the left of the screen takes you anywhere in Banqup. It shows Home, your Favorite apps, and See all apps at the bottom to open any other app.

  • Collapse the sidebar to icons only when you need more room, and expand it again with one click. Banqup remembers your choice for your next session.

  • Apps have their own colour: green for documents, orange for payments.

  • During focused tasks, such as paying invoices, the sidebar folds away automatically.

  • You can move through the sidebar with your keyboard.

The app launcher in the top bar is gone: See all apps in the sidebar replaces it.

All your settings in one place

Click your name or space at the top right and choose Settings. Everything you used to find in separate pages is now grouped in three sections:

  • Personal settings: your Profile and your Favorite apps.

  • Organization: your Company details, your Branding, and Partners.

  • Administration: Team, Extensions, External applications and Subscriptions.

Partners is new. It lists the accountants, resellers and other partners linked to your space, with their type. Administrators can remove a partner from there, after a confirmation step. Only administrators can see this page.

Add discounts and charges to your invoices

When you check an imported invoice in the validation view, you can add discounts and charges that apply to the whole invoice. Each one is a fixed amount or a percentage, with its VAT rate, and they appear in a Discounts and charges section of the invoice. Totals and the VAT breakdown are recalculated at once.

You can also add a charge to a single invoice line, in the validation view and when you create an invoice in Document Creator. The line amount and the invoice total update immediately.

Every document of a business partner in one tab

Open a customer or supplier in Business partners and use the Documents tab. It lists every document you have with that partner: sales and purchase invoices, credit notes, quotes and receipts, without leaving the app.

Accept payment matches from your invoice lists

When Banqup finds a payment that probably settles an invoice, an icon appears next to the invoice in Sales invoices or Purchase invoices. Click it, or use the match action in the invoice's action menu (it shows how many matches are proposed), to open the Proposed match window:

  • check the payment proposed for the invoice and click Save match to accept it, or remove the proposal with the bin icon;

  • click Advanced matching to open Transaction radar for that invoice and select matches one by one.

In the invoice details, See proposed matches opens the same window. Payments and Mark as paid actions already recorded on the invoice are listed separately.

Send your purchase invoices to Pivot

The Pivot app is available in the Banqup Store. It sends your purchase invoices to Pivot as PDF files, so your team can process them in Pivot's purchase invoice and procurement workflows. When an invoice mentions a purchase order reference, the app links it to the matching purchase order in Pivot.

To set it up, install Pivot from the Banqup Store, then enter the API key, tenant ID and subsidiary of your Pivot account.

More to do in the Banqup One mobile app

The Banqup One app catches up on several things you could already do on the web.

  • Finalize on your phone. Choose Send via Peppol, Send via email or Finalize only. The app checks the Peppol ID and email addresses before anything is sent. Finalize only on a document whose delivery failed clears the error and finalizes it for your records.

  • Comments in their own section. Comments are separated from the activity history. Add a comment, see the whole discussion with View all, and retry if a comment could not be posted.

  • The same filters as on the web. Sales invoices, purchase invoices and receipts use the web statuses, and a Currency filter lets you pick one or more currencies.

  • Business partner defaults from the document. In the parties section of a document, change the partner's default payment method and bank account without leaving the document. If a copy to a CC address could not be delivered, the document shows which address failed.

  • Other documents, redesigned. A cleaner list of files and folders, and an upload tracker that follows several uploads at once.

Improvements

  • See what still needs matching in Transaction radar
The Items to be matched tile, on the far left, counts every transaction that is unmatched or has a proposed match, and it is selected when you open Transaction radar. A search bar in the transactions tab finds payments by business partner, bank account name or payment reference, and works together with your tiles and filters. The documents tab has the same tiles. → Read more

  • Clearer statuses in your invoice lists
An invoice that is validated but not paid shows the status Unpaid. In the Unpaid tab of Sales invoices and Purchase invoices, a Delivery status column tells you whether the invoice reached the recipient. A structured file that could not be processed and was turned into a PDF for manual review carries a Reprocessed badge, with a tooltip explaining why. → Read more

  • A warning before you date an invoice in the future
If you give a document a date in the future, Banqup warns you that the next invoices in the same numbering series must carry that date or a later one. This avoids a numbering series you cannot continue. → Read more

  • Your payment accounts in the order you choose
Drag a payment account by its handle to move it up or down the list. The order is saved when you drop it, with no save button, and stays the same on all your devices. → Read more

  • Pick your Exact Online company and Zenvoices administration from a list
When you set up the Exact Online or Zenvoices app, you choose your company or administration by name from an alphabetical list, instead of typing a code. Connections you already set up keep working as they are. → Read more
