Connecting Banqup to external accounting software

Want to automatically route your (clients') invoices and documents to your accounting package? Banqup connects with a wide range of accounting software, so you can skip the manual exports and keep everything in sync. This article helps you find the right connection method for each package and points you to the correct setup guide.

How connections work

Banqup offers three types of connections:

  • Direct app integration: A dedicated extension in the Banqup Store connects directly to the accounting package via API. This is the most automated option. Documents flow as soon as they're approved or sent.

  • Cloud storage: Documents are exported automatically to a shared cloud folder (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive) or an SFTP server. The accounting software picks them up from there.

  • Email delivery: Documents are sent to a configured email address. Useful for packages that accept imports by email.

All integrations are managed from your Partner Space. You install an extension once, then activate it separately for each client that uses that package.

Software with a direct integration

These packages have a dedicated extension in the Banqup Store. Once installed and configured, documents sync automatically via API.

Software via cloud storage

These packages don't have a direct API integration. Banqup exports documents automatically to a cloud folder or SFTP server, where the accounting software can pick them up.

Depending on what the software supports, you can use: SFTP, Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive.

Important notes

  • Accountants should set up and manage integrations from their Partner Space, not from their client's Business Spaces.

  • Only documents created after you activate the integration will be exported. Existing documents are not synced retroactively.

  • Make sure you have proper access rights in both Banqup and the accounting package before you start.
